Anatomy

Anatomy is the scientific study of the structure of human form either by observation or examination or dissection of dead specimens. The Department of Anatomy is fully equipped to implement high quality education to nurture highly competent medical doctors and health care professionals. The Department consists of dedicated and research oriented faculty imparting knowledge & skills mainly emphasizing on value based education. It also boasts of a “state of the art museum“ displaying specimens and charts with extremely good surface detailing related to gross anatomy , histology, embryology, comparative anatomy and radiology which is highly used for medical education. The spacious well illuminated dissection hall offers whole body dissection to students for refining their skills and also for an in-depth understanding of structure of the human body and its correlation with disease condition and treatment. The histology lab is equipped with the latest microscopes and high resolution audio-visual aids. The Research lab focuses on biomedical research mainly histological and plastination techniques extending its wings into molecular biology, animal models and stem cell biology.
